Attorney & Counselor
Kacy Cigarroa is an attorney at Kruger Carson. She brings experience in broad transactional commercial real estate, business and corporate practice involving a variety of business and real estate development activities. Kacy’s expertise includes business formation, including joint ventures and partnerships; commercial real estate finance; dispositions and acquisitions; and the development, construction and management of multi-family properties located in the San Antonio area and throughout the nation.
Kacy is adept at negotiating and preparing listing agreements, access agreements and purchase and sale agreements for dispositions, joint venture agreements, construction contracts, development agreements, property management agreements, third party agreements, guaranty agreements, construction financing and mezzanine financing documents, and assisting clients with due diligence and preparing for and facilitating closings.
Kacy has particular experience in the preparation of organizational and maintenance documents for and providing corporate governance advice to more than 300 business entities.
Kacy has acted as co-counsel on the team that represented a San Antonio commercial real estate development group in the equity joint venture financing, construction loan and mezzanine loan financing, development, construction, management, operation and disposition of more than 45 Class A multi-family projects ranging from 122 to 408 apartment units in the San Antonio area and throughout the nation.
Kacy has been recognized for her skills and expertise numerous times over the past decade, including being nominated to be a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow in 2018; recognized as one of San Antonio’s “Best Attorneys” by San Antonio Monthly Magazine (2011-2018); named one of San Antonio’s “Rising Stars by San Antonio Monthly Magazine (2012-2018); named one of the San Antonio Business Journal’s “Wonder Women of Commercial Real Estate (2013); and was featured in The Council Monitor as one of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio’s “Young Guns of the Real Estate Community” (2013).
Additionally, Kacy is a member of IMPACT San Antonio (2014-present), which encourages and empowers women to join together to achieve meaningful change in the Greater San Antonio area through substantial grants to local nonprofits that serve our community.
Kacy is active with the Real Estate Council of San Antonio, where she has served on numerous committees and is currently on the Executive Committee. Kacy also served a term on the San Antonio Planning Commission from 2017-2018.
Kacy attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, where she majored in Biology. She graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, where she was a member of and served on the Board of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Society.
